I'm actually fine with there being 20 story levels, as long as there are 4 or 5 separate stories to make the game feel shorter. You see, unlike other games where there are 15 story levels, there are 20 story levels this time around which I think is too much for a single story especially when you have to play them again in freeplay mode. Now the story is good, but the first time I played it, it was too long (but then again I did some freeplay stuff in between). It is actually based on a comic book about Kang which the writer of the comic helped out with the story. Now The Avengers and the Guardians will have to team up with other characters from different worlds and time periods in order to stop Kang. After that, the Guardians arrive to warn Nick Fury, just like at the end of the first game, but they are too late as Kang captures Manhattan and adds it to his new world called Chronopolis a collection of worlds from different time periods. BTW, this is the longest level in the game. But the party is cut short when The Avengers have to split into 3 teams to take on 3 different missions Team Captain America in Siberia, Team Iron Man in Lemuria, and Team Spider-Man in Manhattan. Meanwhile, The Avengers celebrate their victory after defeating Loki from the first game. So the Guardians head to earth to warn The Avengers about Kang. They manage to save Xandar, at least until Kang captures part of it before making his way to earth. It starts off with the Guardians of the Galaxy saving Xandar from the games main villain Kang the Conqueror. And unlike my other reviews, I won't go into full spoilers. As for LEGO MARVEL Super Heroes 2, it's good, but not perfect.īefore I get into the details to why I think this is the weakest of the LEGO MARVEL games, let me tell you about the story. Maybe we'll get another one for Infinity War and Endgame. And I really liked LEGO MARVEL Avengers especially since I loved the movies. But now that Disney bought FOX, the next game might bring them all together again. It perfectly balanced both the comics and the movies (with an original story that takes place after the first Avengers movie non-canon to the MCU), and it's the only game (so far) to have The Avengers, the X-Men, and the Fantastic 4 all together. I loved the first LEGO MARVEL Superheroes game. Hello everyone! Time for another LEGO videogame review.
